Sarah Palin’s Email? A Lesson Learned!

Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin

First off all, I know this is an old incident that occurred last year Wednesday, Sep. 17, 2008.

Anyhow, by checking around all the search engines you would find tons of results about the Alaskan governor and republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin hacked email (gov.palin@yahoo.com). The hackers named themselves as anonymous activist group according to many websites.

I just cannot image how embarrassing is to be exposed to billions of people worldwide!

OK… Lets continue

“Dear Ivy, You don’t know me, but I am part of an Internet group. We call ourselves anonymous. This e-mail was hacked by anonymous, but I took no part in that. I simply got the password back and changed it so no further damage could be done.”

That was the message that the good hacker sent to Frye to contact Sarah to tell her about the incident. (I’ve attached all the snapshots by the attacker for my record).

As indicated, the hacker was able to retain the password by guessing her secret question and answer. It seems that these gentlemen are very organized and was able to nail it out!

It shows how nasty could go if your privacy gets violated and exposed, especially, for these well-known figures. Basically, don’t have your secret question as “What is my Name?” or “Which City Was I born at?” because it could be easy to be figured out by people know you or even can dig into your personal information through the social network websites.
